The Rx.com Mod Team has created this Service Play sub-forum in order to supply an area for Rx Service Play Posters to expand upon their posting topics without creating a logjam in the main forum where the three principle threads are maintained..

Posters can track services here if they care to but we will need any trackers to do so in an accurate and civil manner. We did not create this area for posters to ridicule or bash any services..

You can also discuss who is hot and who is not. The general state of the pay for plays industry and any other subject or topic related to service plays.

You can also create individual threads about specific services and discuss them freely but civilly. Again bashing and abusive treatment of any services will not be tolerated.

Please remember, this forum is not here for regular posters who cap their own games to post ther daily plays. Please use our individual sport forums to post your plays. Professional cappers (those that sell plays) must remain in the Site Promotion Forum.

The Rx.com will not tolerate posters that post false records of any services they track. Please be truthful if you decide to track a particular service.

Lastly The Rx Moderators are appealing to you our everyday posters to report any promotional threads or posts that are made by services or individual touts. No links or contact information to an individual service will be allowed. Just the name of the service. Please report any threads or posts that are promotional attempts by services and touts to use this forum to promote themselves..

Posters can easily report a promotional post by using the triangular Report-a-Post Icon at the bottom left of all post boxes. The poster name of any poster who reports a post that is out of line will be kept strictly confidential.

I will leave this thread open for a month to take questions and do my best to answer them. I will check in daily but am off on Wednesday and Thursday.

I hope this additional Service Play Forum will satisfy those posters that would like to widen the scope of topics relating to service plays and the industry in general to have their own threads. Mods will be liberal as possible regarding topics but this forum was specifically created to allow you more freedom to express your ideas regarding service plays and related subject matter. No off topic threads will be allowed.

Thank you, wilheim

PICK 'N' ROLL

Thursday's Best NBA Bet

Philadelphia 76ers at Charlotte Bobcats (-4.5, 187)

Philadelphia coach Doug Collins has no doubt who makes his team go. It’s not guard Jrue Holiday, it’s not rookie Evan Turner and it’s not forward Elton Brand.

It’s guard Lou Williams. Yeah, the one making the YouTube rounds singing with his shirt off. But when his jersey is on, he’s become a force for the 76ers.

"Lou Williams is the catalyst," Sixers coach Doug Collins said. "I could go back and play all these tapes: When Lou Williams plays well and he's on the floor at the end of the game, he's the one guy for us that can create a shot for himself or his teammate."

In a 96-92 overtime win against the Bobcats on Monday, it was the Lou Williams Show. After a quiet first half, he scored 12 points in the third quarter, nine more in the fourth - including an overtime-forcing three with less than 5 seconds left - and added a pair of free throws in overtime to finish with 23 points.

This season, Williams is averaging 13 points per game as he is shooting just .392 from the floor, but over his past five – including the win over Charlotte – he has upped those numbers to 18.8 points per game as he is making .452 percent of his attempts.

And they should keep dropping against Charlotte.

Pick: Philadelphia

Thursday's Best NCAAB Bet

Virginia Tech Hokies at Maryland Terrapins (-5, 134)

The Hokies have been known for their physical defense and bruising play during their recent run of success in the Atlantic Coast Conference. But thanks to a spate of injuries and uninspired play, the team is zoning it up.

"We have eight guys," Virgina Tech coach Seth Greenberg told reporters. "I'm not going to spend any time throwing a pity party. We play at 8, and that's what it is, and we're going to play our tails off. We can't change it, so let's go out and play some ball."

And that’s just what a team missing guard Dorenzo Hudson and forwards Cadarian Raines, Allan Chaney and J.T. Thompson for the season have done.

The team planed to mix in a 2-3 zone, but it enabled the team to force 19 turnovers in a 12-point win at Florida State, and then allowed the team to race out to a 16-point lead at North Carolina the cold-shooting Hokies couldn’t hold onto. Either way, the team’s lack of scholarship players and scoring will keep it in a zone and force the team to slow things down on offense.

And that’s not good news for Maryland. The team simply has poor jump shooters. This season, the Terrapins are making a mere 32.6 percent of their three-pointers – the 234th worst mark in the country. In an eight-point loss at Villanova on Saturday, the Terps failed to pull the upset because they made just 2-of-11 shots from beyond the arc.

Don’t expect them to magically find their range.

Pick: Virginia Tech

ICE PICKS

Thursday's Best NHL Bets

Tampa Bay Lighting at Atlanta Thrashers (-125, 6)

The last time the Thrashers met the Lightning and walked away with a victory, kids across the country were still a month away from going trick-or-treating. In 2009.

Tampa Bay has won nine straight games against the Thrashers, claiming six of those by a single goal, with two wins coming in overtime and another pair via shootout.

"You get frustrated and you have to get past that," Atlanta coach Craig Ramsay said. "You have to stay focused on what it is that works and what it is you have to accomplish, but we still managed to get a point out of it."

And don’t expect the Lightning to be phased by playing in Atlanta – Tampa Bay has played in a league-high 27 road contests. Philips Arena also has been far from a stronghold this season. The Thrashers are just 11-9-3 on their own ice.

"It seems like one of those teams you feel good about playing before the game starts," said Lightning forward Steven Stamkos, who has six goals, three assists and two game-winners in four games against Atlanta this year. "Some rinks you just feel comfortable in, and this is one of them."

Don’t expect the Lightning to be very nice guests this time, either.

Pick: Tampa Bay

Nashville Predators at Colorado Avalanche (-140, 5.5)

Colorado goalie Craig Anderson has had more than his share of pulls, strains and tears this year. Finally, he appears to be regaining his form that got the Avalanche into the postseason last year.

Anderson (2.98 gga, .906 svp) coughed up 20 goals in his previous eight starts, but in his past two outings – wins over Vancouver and Minnesota – he gave up only four. In those games, he stopped a staggering 72 of 76 shots.

"In my mind, we out-chanced them badly in the second and the third and could've easily scored in the third but their goaltender was real good," Canucks coach Alain Vigneault said of a 4-3 overtime loss to the Avalanche on Tuesday.

And if Anderson can continue to turn the corner the team becomes a legitimate Stanley Cup contender. Colorado is fourth in the league in scoring average – 3.2 goals per game – but 28th in defense – surrendering nearly 3.2 goals per night.

The Avalanche also will be boosted by the return of defenseman Kyle Cumiskey, who hasn’t played since suffering a concussion on Oct. 30. In 11 games before the injury, he had a goal and four assists and was among the team’s leaders in ice time.

Pick: Colorado

GOLD SHEET KEY RELEASES (CBB):

Won with South Carolina in OT and lost with StJohns last night (2-1 L2 days)

NEVADA by 11 over New Mexico State (Thursday, January 20)

NEVADA 78 - New Mexico St. 67—WAC sources continue to warn of
a potential Nevada uptick, and the Wolf Pack finally began to look like it means
business in Saturday night’s upset win at Boise. David Carter’s backcourt now
has some real bite with true frosh Deonte Burton (scored 20 in win at Taco Bell
Arena) and Indiana transfer Malik Story (13.8 ppg) producing on a consistent
basis, while recently-eligible 6-7 Duke transfer Olek Czyz (14.6 ppg) has
strengthened the Nevada frontcourt. NMSU percolating itself with 3 straight
wins and covers. And HC Marvin Menzies’ frontline now bolstered by the
return from injury of both F Troy Gillenwater and C Hamadu Rahman. But WAC
sources not sure this year’s Ags can take their act on the road as
successfully as LY’s underrated version and its departed backcourt combo of
Jamar Young and Jonathon Gibson, who combined for 38 ppg. 09-Nev -3' 77-
